BOOST SKIN HYDRATION BRISBANE MILTON BROOKWATER

Welcome to our Brisbane Skin Boosters, a rejuvenating treatment designed to replenish and enhance your skin’s natural vitality. Our boosters restore hyaluronic acid levels, promote radiance, and stimulate collagen production, all while smoothing mature skin. As we age, the depletion of our natural hyaluronic acid pool leads to a decline in skin elasticity and thickness. Utilising a patented blend, our Skin Boosters prevent premature ageing, leaving your skin dewy, plump, and nourished. Complementing other treatments, they offer an alternative for those not yet ready for more intensive procedures. Ideal before special occasions, our Skin Boosters quickly rehydrate the skin, providing a radiant pre-event glow. Experience a journey of revitalization with our Skin Boosters.

Pre-Treatment Preparation

Timely Scheduling

Plan your appointment at least 1-2 weeks before a special occasion, like a wedding or vacation, to mitigate the risk of bruising and swelling after the treatment.

Arnica Tablets

Consider taking Arnica tablets one week before your appointment to help prevent and minimise bruising.

Medication Caution

Refrain from using anti-inflammatory/blood-thinning medications, such as Aspirin, Vitamin E, Omega 3/Fish Oil Supplements, Ibuprofen, Advil, and other NSAIDs, 5-7 days before treatment, unless directed by your GP or specialist.

Cold Sore Prevention

If you have a history of cold sores and are getting injectable treatment around the mouth, consider taking antiviral tablets the day before or on the treatment day to reduce the likelihood of developing a cold sore post-treatment. These tablets can be bought over the counter at a pharmacy without a prescription.

Rescheduling for Illness

Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you feel unwell or have an active infection in the treatment area.

Pre-Treatment Precautions

Avoid strenuous physical activity or excessive alcohol intake 24 hours before your treatment, as it heightens the risk of bruising.

Post Treatment Care

Avoid Alcohol and Strenuous Exercise

Avoid rubbing, touching, or massaging the treated area until the next morning. Refrain from facial treatments, lasers, or massages for one week post-treatment.

Minimise Touch

It is advisable not to lie down for 6-8 hours after treatment to prevent inadvertent rubbing of the treated areas.

Makeup Application

Hold off on applying makeup to the treated area for 24 hours post-treatment, unless using Dermaceutic K Ceutic recovery cream, available for purchase in the clinic, is the only foundation safe for use directly after injectable treatment. It is known for accelerating wound healing while concealing signs of treatment.

Refrain from Alcohol and exercise

Refrain from alcohol and strenuous exercise for the next 24 hours.

Avoid

Avoid exposure to heat treatments like sauna, hot tub, or tanning for up to 48 hours post-treatment. Stay away from exfoliating products (scrubs, AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin A) for the next four days.

Medication Considerations

Consider using Paracetamol for headaches or pain. Avoid blood-thinning medicines such as ibuprofen (Nurofen), diclofenac (Voltaren), Aspirin, and omega 3/fish oil for 48 hours post-treatment to minimise the risk of bruising and swelling.

Swelling and Bruising Management

Expect swelling, tenderness, and redness or bruising immediately after dermal filler treatment; this is normal and will subside in a few days to 2 weeks.

Bruise-eze cream is available for purchase in the clinic to aid in the healing process.

Consider adding LED light therapy to accelerate healing and enhance results; available in the clinic for an additional cost.

Apply ice or a cold washer to the treated area on and off for up to 48 hours to reduce swelling and bruising.

Avoid pressure on the treated area for 8 hours post-treatment.

Skin Treatments Postponed

Steer clear of invasive skin treatments for two weeks, including skin needling, lasers, chemical peels, and facial tattooing

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT ON THE DAY?

Come to your appointment without makeup. Refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise, consuming alcohol, or smoking on the day of your appointment. If you’re feeling unwell, consider rescheduling. Prior to your appointment, have a meal and stay hydrated to reduce the likelihood of experiencing light-headedness or dizziness during your treatment.

AM I SUITABLE TO RECEIVE THIS TREATMENT?

You may not be eligible for skin booster treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have open sores in the treatment area. Additionally, individuals with uncontrolled medical conditions such as diabetes and blood clotting disorders may not be suitable candidates. Those prone to excessive fluid accumulation in the under-eye area leading to puffy eyes, severe bee sting allergies, planning international travel within two weeks, recent surgery within 8 weeks pre-appointment, or major dental work two weeks pre or post-treatment may not be suitable candidates for filler treatment.

HOW DO SKIN BOOSTERS WORK?

Skin boosters are injectable procedures crafted to improve skin texture, elasticity, hydration, and overall aesthetic appeal. This treatment involves injecting collagen-inducing acids, a pliable gel-like substance, beneath the skin. This enhances skin elasticity, firmness, and radiance, contributing to an overall luminous complexion.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SKIN BOOSTERS?

  • Achieve a radiant and improved complexion.
  • Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Healthier and more even skin tone.
  • Boosted hydration for a radiant glow.
  • Firmer and more resilient skin texture.
  • Improved skin elasticity.
  • Relief from dry patches.
  • Overall enhancement of skin tone appearance.

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT I NEED TREATED?

Nurse Jacintha specialises in comprehensive full-face rejuvenation and is adept at evaluating your facial requirements. Schedule a complimentary consultation with or without treatment on the same day, and begin the journey toward realising your desired results.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Around one month post-treatment, significant improvements in your skin’s appearance can be expected, including reduced wrinkles and fine lines, along with overall skin tightening and plumping. These effects result from the stimulated production of collagen and elastin, supporting the skin’s structure. To maintain these results, a second treatment after one month is recommended to ensure optimal levels of collagen and elastin production for long-lasting effects.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY RESULTS?

For optimal and longer-lasting results, it is advisable to undergo a course of treatment, typically consisting of 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Subsequently, a single treatment can be performed every 6-9 months to sustain the result

WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN SKIN BOOSTERS?

A combination of ingredients includes hyaluronic acid, arginine, glutathione, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, and alpha-lipoic acid. Additionally, it contains seven essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, valine, glycine, lysine, threonine, and proline, along with vitamin B6, zinc, and copper.

HOW MUCH PRODUCT DO I NEED?

Everyone’s needs are unique, and the ideal amount of product for the best results depends on factors like volume loss and muscle strength. In our friendly pre-treatment consultation, we’ll chat about your specific requirements, and we’ll also consider lifestyle factors. To achieve the results you’re looking for, it might take a few treatments, making sure we tailor our approach to meet your individual expectations.

WHAT ARE THE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS?

When contemplating a skin booster treatment, it’s important to be aware of potential mild side effects. It’s common to encounter mild swelling, bruising, and redness at the treatment site, along with slight pain or tenderness at injection points, and minor bleeding. Some individuals may also experience mild dizziness or nausea. Fortunately, these side effects are typically temporary and should subside shortly after the treatment. Following the provided aftercare instructions is recommended, and any concerns should be promptly addressed by contacting Nurse Jacintha.

IS THERE ANYTHING IMPORTANT I SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR?

If you notice any of the following symptoms, please get in touch with our clinic right away: unusual coloration (dusky or white) of injected areas, mottling, or unexpected bruising, severe or increasing pain, redness, increasing warmth, or coolness to the touch, significant swelling, extensive bruising, itching, blisters, or pustules, loss of sensation or numbness, abnormal sensations in the affected area, difficulty swallowing or smiling, fever, or chills.
