Prior to your appointment, have a meal and stay hydrated to reduce the likelihood of experiencing light-headedness or dizziness during your treatment.

You may not be a suitable candidate for Secret RF Skin Needling treatments if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have open sores, irritated skin, allergies to stainless steel, a bleeding disorder, or currently taking oral isotretinoin (a prescription acne medicine). Please inform the clinic if any of these conditions apply to you.

Day 1:

• Expect mild redness and swelling, resembling sunburn.
• Apply LIFT HG as needed.
• Avoid washing or using products for 24 hours.
• Consider LED red light therapy for reduced bruising and swelling.
• Dermaceutic K Ceutic recovery cream is safe for immediate use.

Day 2:

• Start applying RESCUE Calming Complex after 24 hours to soothe the skin.
• Keep the skin hydrated and use facial sunscreen after 24 hours.

Days 3-4:

• Skin may become dry and flaky; avoid picking.
• Apply moisturiser or calming complex twice daily.
• Use facial cleanser for gentle exfoliation on Day 3.

Think of radiofrequency (RF) as the complement to lasers within the treatment spectrum. Laser procedures work from the skin’s surface towards its deeper layers, while radiofrequency functions from the interior outward. While lasers are efficient in treating superficial acne scars and pigment-related issues, RF energy is especially well-suited for addressing deeper scars, such as rolling atrophic scarring.

Expect redness and mild swelling for one to three days, and sometimes small grid marks, dryness or flaking for up to a week. Most people return to work within a day or two; your clinician will give you written aftercare.

For optimal results, it is generally recommended to undergo a series of three sessions spaced apart with intervals ranging from 4 to 12 weeks. In cases of severe or persistent acne scarring, additional sessions (1 to 3) may be necessary.

RF and microneedling: Common, temporary effects include redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, bruising, dryness, flaking and tenderness for several days. Less commonly, infection, cold sore flare-ups, acne-like breakouts, burns, changes in skin colour (darkening or lightening) and scarring can occur.
